Who am I anyway?
I qualified as a doctor in 2004 and began my career in Paediatrics before moving into General Practice, becoming a GP in 2012. I continue to work as an NHS GP today, with a particular interest in Neurodiversity as the Autism and Learning Disability Lead in my practice. I also hold extended qualifications in Menopause, Paediatrics, and Lifestyle Medicine.

Over time, the increasing systemic pressures in General Practice left me questioning how I could influence meaningful change. That led me to join my local LMC - first as an elected representative and later, in 2017, as a Medical Director. In this role, I support General Practice across a population of 2 million people, working with our local practices and a wide range of clinical and system leaders.

When I stepped into leadership, I had two children under five and very little time to think. Like many new leaders, I had to learn through stumbling, recovering, and asking for help. Those experiences shaped how I now design and run leadership programmes for local GPs, I have supported more than a hundred newly qualified GPs through courses and watched many progress into leadership roles.

In 2022, I completed the Top Manager Programme with The King’s Fund, which sparked an interest in coaching. I went on to complete the Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from Henley Business School and am now registered with the EMCC as a Senior Practitioner Coach. Alongside my coaching practice, I continue in my GP and Medical Director roles.

I coach working professionals in high stakes, high pressure environments. Work is demanding. Life doesn’t pause. Sometimes we need a space to slow down, reflect, and reframe. Coaching, and the development I undertook to become a coach, has profoundly improved both my working and home life.
